The Trenton/Black River (TBR) Play is one of the most prolific conventional gas plays in the United States, bar none. Hydrothermally-altered carbonate reservoirs in the TBR have been known to produce 100 MMCFD+ via VERTICAL wells, many of them with EURs in excess of 10 BCF. Despite this, the play never fully developed, because good quality seismic data is needed to find the unique structures that cause the alteration. The ascendance of the Marcellus/Utica has provided the new seismic data needed to jump-start this hugely prolific play, and Hunt Geophysical has used that data to develop high-potential TBR prospects, which are now available to drillers/investors. The largest of these is called the Revival Prospect.

At over 17 miles long, Revival rivals large, well-known TBR fields, such as Michigan's Albion-Scipio, in size. Revival sits near the border between Ohio/PA, in the gas-prone portion of the play. Analog fields in Southern NY state routinely produce 10 BCF+ from low-cost vertical wells, so it is no exaggeration to say that Revival could have 100 BCF+ potential. Economics on a good TBR well crush the ROI of a typical Marcellus or Utica Shale well. We have a complete Revival technical slide pack with many more details, which we can share upon request. With gas prices looking firmer, this prospect will not last long, so email us at huntgeop@gmail.com if you'd like to discuss further.
